As it was founded in 1988, Frederique Constant is a relatively new luxury watchmaking firm. But when compared to other famous Swiss timepiece brands, which may be a bit stodgy in executing change, the Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland-based company is clearly on point with to its forward-thinking designs.

One of the brand’s timepieces that is becoming more and more famous with every iteration is the Frederique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture, and Constant’s new edition only improves on its reputation.

The colors are striking: fundamental and delicate. The watch has been updated to boast a deep brown dial paired with rose on the 42mm stainless steel case. A world map rendered in a lighter shade of brown offers contrast, with the brown palette continuing throughout the hour ring and city ring. The hands are polished and plated with rose gold.

Powering the Classic Worldtimer is Frederique Constant’s FC-718 in-house caliber, which incorporates a 42-hour power reserve and beats at 4Hz.

The Frederique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture sells for $4,195.
