Clive Davis—Sony Music’s chief creative officer—has listed one of his Ritz Tower apartments. The producer is asking $7.8 million for the duplex property, which is comprised of two apartments he purchased in 2015. Davis paid $3.4 million, collectively, for the two original units.

The apartment measures about 2,800 square feet, and contains three bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The highlight of the renovation may be the circular staircase; oak treads wind around a central column in matte brass, leading from the main living spaces upstairs to the three bedroom suites below.

From the foyer—with its nifty hidden wet bar—there are living, dining and powder rooms, and a chef’s kitchen. The living room, centered by the staircase, is large and bright, and the dining room features splendid views of the city. The kitchen has been outfitted with brown quartzite counter tops, a pair of granite sinks, and custom cabinetry with matte brass fixtures.

The apartment’s luxurious amenities include five climate control zones, custom windows, marble windowsills, and a Sonos surround sound system with speakers running throughout the space.

The building dates to the 1920’s, and is well known by anyone who is familiar with Manhattan.

Over the course of his career at various labels, Clive Davis signed legendary acts that include Barry Manilow, Whitney Houston, Aerosmith, Alicia Keys, Grateful Dead, Usher, Pink, Toni Braxton, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, and Brad Paisley, among others heavyweights. He has won five Grammy awards.
