Segway has come out with a new way of transporting people around with the release of its new One S1 electric unicycle.

Weighing in at only 25 pounds, the One S1 can hold up to 220 pounds, an impressive eight times its total mass.

Powering the One S1 are lithium ion batteries that give riders of the electric unicycle about 15 miles of travel per charge with a top speed of 12.5 mph. This is, of course, depending on the type of land it is riding on and how much weight it is carrying.

Riders of the One S1 are required to download the Ninebot app, which includes a new-rider tutorial as well as the ability to monitor speed, set up a speed limit, toggle between carry or lock mode, customize lighting, and much more.

Owners are also given the option of purchasing a number of accessories, including protective bumpers, kickstands, graphic decals, and even training wheels.

Following its merger with Ninebot in 2015, Segway is now applying the mindset of both companies and creating a new world of options of transportation and recreation around the globe.
