Anytime a former Google engineer works on a tech project, you know it’s going to be cool, and this is certainly the case with the new Gate home smart lock.

Created by two ex-Google Glass architects, the revolutionary new smart lock has been described as the first and only all-in-one solution for home access. The old fashioned deadbolt is a thing of the past with Gate’s motion detection 720p camera, built-in speaker and microphone, LED-lit key code panels, and smartphone connectivity.

Truly a smart lock, Gate aims to make entering or securing homes easier than ever. With a focus on problem-solving tech, Gate creators anticipated the needs of customers by including remote open access, which is perfect for kids who aren’t ready for their own key or for a guest dropping by.

Users will also be able to see and speak to visitors using the partner app, open the door by tapping a button, and receive notifications when anyone arrives at the door.

Gate Labs currently has a campaign on Indiegogo, so interested customers can pledge $209 for an early bird deal on the new Gate smart lock. Early bird customers can expect their lock in March of 2017.
