Dave Joerger was one of many unlucky NBA coaches to lose his job this offseason despite leading the Grizzlies to a playoff berth. Just two days later, he got another chance, signing a four-year deal worth a total of $16 million with the Sacramento Kings. Now it looks like Joerger is settling in. He recently closed on a ranch in the El Dorado County foothills for $1.35 million.

The Shingle Springs compound sits on 10 acres about 35 miles outside of Sacramento proper and includes a main house with four bedrooms and 5,400 square feet of interior space. The home features a traditional, dormer-adorned façade with wraparound porches, a cobblestone fireplace in the corner living room and a pair of indoor dining areas to go with plenty of outdoor dining space,. Mason jar light fixtures clad in oiled bronze, hardwood floors and wicker-bladed ceiling fans on the porch give the home a cozy, rural vibe.

Other standout features include a corner fireplace in one of the bedrooms, a large office with sliding glass doors overlooking the porch and a master suite with a nook that’s perfect for a second small office space, as well as a bathroom with separate shower and soaking tub.

Also on the property are a 10-stall horse barn with an ample grazing pasture, an eight-car garage and three separate ponds.

The estate was listed back in May for $1.395 million and only took about a month to find Joerger. It was last sold in 2014 for $1.25 million.
