Fresh off a speech at the Republican National Convention in support of Donald Trump—for whom he serves as an economic adviser—Thomas Barrack Jr., the high-powered financier behind Colony Capital, is looking to sell his luxurious Santa Monica mansion with an asking price of $46.5 million—nearly double the $24.5 million he paid for it in 2014.

The home, which sits on 1.35 acres featuring 200 feet of bluff frontage, is reached by a long, hedged drive protected by a gate, while the home’s symmetrical white façade has a Neoclassical look with a two-story portico, behind which the double-height foyer includes checkerboard marble tiling and a sweeping staircase with a curvaceous second-floor balcony.

Coffered ceilings and black and white color schemes dominate the two fireplace-adorned living areas, with one room’s built-in white shelves set off uniquely by black recessions. The other living room is large enough for two seating areas and a grand piano. The family kitchen includes two islands and there’s also a separate catering kitchen.

Staff bedrooms join four en suite guest rooms and the 2,500-square-foot master suite with his and hers marble bathrooms and walk-in closets for a total of 7 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, and the subterranean garage has space for 15 cars.

There’s also a 1,000-square-foot covered patio complete with fireplace, fire pit and swimming pool, as well as a workout room and a half-court indoor basketball gym. Other amenities include a complete spa, an elevator, a wine cellar, a security room and a state-of-the-art home theater.

Barrack’s net worth is estimated at $1.3 billion. Interestingly, he is the owner of Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch. His firm, Colony Capital, manages $34 billion in assets.
