A couple of weeks ago we covered a new iteration from the formerly defunct British carmaker, Bristol. Now it is known that the 70-year-old brand will release its first model in ten years dubbed the Bristol Bullet, as it was previously speculated to be called.

Bristol has announced a limited run of only 70 editions of the Bullet. The new car from the Bristol-based brand is named after the for-its-time agile and quick Bristol Scout airplane, which was a World War I fighter plane that came from the Bristol Aeroplane Company, the original company that Bristol Cars Limited branched out from.

Just because Bristol Cars has been lying dormant for a decade doesn’t mean their newest offering is lacking in any way.

The body has been built out of carbon fiber to ensure it is both sturdy and lightweight, but the design is a little traditional, continuing Bristol’s longtime styling cue of a square front grille and rear fins. The interior of the model boasts sports seats made with hand-trimmed British hides and classic-styled wood paneling.

Bristol’s new drop top is actually powered by a BMW-sourced 4.8-liter V8 engine that makes 370 horsepower, enough power to fire the Bullet from zero-to-62 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.

The Bristol Bullet costs $300,700 with orders being taken now and the first deliveries set for January of 2017.
