Scottish actor Alan Cumming has sold his East Village co-op for $2.2 million after less than a month on the market.

Cumming and his husband, graphic designer Grant Shaffer, listed the apartment for $2.2 million, so they got exactly what they were hoping for. Located at 297 East 10th Street, the couple purchased the four-bedroom, one-bathroom unit for $1.695 million in 2005.

The more than 1,500-square-foot apartment has been renovated and upgraded, but overall, the home retains the space’s original components. Although it’s unusual for an apartment to have four times as many bedrooms as bathrooms, the listing agent stated that there’s space to add an additional bathroom.

Classic features like wide-plank hardwood floors, north and south exposures in the living and dining area, and a wood-burning fireplace with a carved wooden mantle add a luxe style to the chic and cosy unit. In addition, the master maintains the same classic look with oversized windows with wood trim and intricate crown molding.

Cumming and Shaffer have unloaded the charming NYC property in favor of a larger townhouse nearby that they purchased for $4.65 million in 2013.
