Upcycling might be all the rage, but few items have been repurposed as beautifully as the Boeing 737 Engine Cowling turned into the 737 COWLING Chair.

Fallen Furniture specializes in these types of unique pieces. Brothers and designers Harry and Ben Tucker purchased the engine cowling for around $7,300 and sold it for $28,000. With an exterior welded together from sheets of titanium alloy and an interior leather bowl seat, it’s certainly a statement piece.

The brothers focus exclusively on repurposing aviation pieces (although they plan to expand), and the first piece created under the brand was successful too. Pieces like the Exit Table, made from (you guessed it), an Airbus A320 emergency exit door, are completely one of a kind and take several months to complete.

The brand’s ethos is to offer completely unique luxury pieces with a narrative of their own. “Today there’s so much stuff that’s soulless and plain. We want something you can attach stories to and won’t throw away,” said Tucker.
