It’s often difficult to blend industrial aesthetics with classic elegance, yet this is exactly what Stephen Kenn did when he created his new minimalist Inheritance Collection sofa.

While it made waves at Deus ex Machina in Tokyo last spring, it’s sure to garner just as much attention in any contemporary living area. The creative piece is crafted around a visible thick steel frame for a raw, stripped-down look.

Upholstered in either coarse military fabrics or vintage leather (complete with aged-looking leather straps), the look is classic and timeless. In fact, the LA-based designer has paired with other brands to create bespoke versions of his unique sofa.

Now available in six different variations, customers can enjoy the simple and angular construction with a variety of unique additions and styles, like the vintage, military-inspired one pictured below.

Kenn’s unique creation is available from $3,000-$8,900, depending on the size and style.
