A Look Inside Porsche’s Mission E Electric Concept, aka the ‘Tesla Killer’

Since Porsche revealed the Mission E in September, the automotive world has been referring to it as the “Tesla killer.”

Although garnering plenty of attention with the nickname alone, the iconic brand has given the world a closer look at the concept car, offering hope that it is closer to hitting production lines.

This all-electric, all-wheel-drive, all-wheel-steering Porsche uses an 800-volt engine to create a 600-horsepower speedster that can speed from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Oh, and it can reach over 300 miles on a single charge.

Not only is the Mission E a force to be reckoned with when it’s on the road, drivers and passengers get to enjoy what Porsche is calling a “tribute to tomorrow,” complete with all the high-tech features imaginable.

Porsche’s concept looks pretty cool, but we’re not sure anything is going to “kill” Tesla anytime soon. Tesla’s vehicles receive rave reviews for the most part, not to mention they zoom from zero to 60 mph in a breakneck 2.8 seconds. Add to that the autonomous driving features rolled out recently and you can see that Tesla may very well be several years ahead of any other car manufacturer in many respects.
