Färg & Blanche has unveiled a collection of upholstered stools called Elsa and Jack, named after two dogs that are often seen at the Gärsnäs showroom.

“We wanted to create small friends for Emma and Emily (a previous collection),” Frederik Färg, studio founder, said. “When we began sketching Jack and Elsa, it seemed obvious that a stool supplementing our Emma Series must have an idiom and a life of its own.”

The Jack seat is the bigger of the two and is large enough for two to three people. Elsa is designed for one person to utilize for comfort.

“Their organic shape allows them to be placed in a more messy way, for example in a public space you don’t need to have them all lined up,” Blanche said. “They can live their own life wherever people leave them.”

The designers showed off the chair at the Stockholm Furniture Fair last month.
