A second property owned by legendary guitarist and freeform musical stylist Carlos Santana entered the open U.S. real estate market this week. In June of this year, Santana’s Las Vegas residence popped up for sale with a $2.795 million ask; the 4,620 sq. ft. modern-inspired house contains three bedrooms and five baths, and an outdoor living space with a fire feature and pool with water jets.

This time around, the property is located on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. This is three-acre estate is anchored by a Pacific Islands-style house measuring 4,003 sq. ft. The layout of the 2001-built home is inspired by Balinese designs, and it features modern elements like retractable glass walls. Amenities include an infinity-edge pool, a spa, three guest suites, and an outdoor living area with a kitchen and bar.

Santana is asking $12.9 million for the home. The San Francisco acid-jazz explorer recently picked up a much larger property on the Garden Isle for $20.5 million.

The estate is at least the third Kauai property Santana has purchased in this century. In 2019, he picked up a house on the island for $2.7 million. He listed it last summer with a $2.995 million ask.

Santana’s eponymous band has sold over 100 million records worldwide. Their most recent release is 2019’s Africa Speaks.
