DBX S Brings Race-Inspired Edge to Aston Martin SUV Range

Aston Martin recently introduced its new flagship SUV, the DBX S. Slotting above the recently launched DBX707 variant, the DBX S brings more power, lower weight, and assertive new styling.

At the heart of this new ultra-luxury SUV lies an uprated twin-turbo 4.0L V8 pumping out 717 hp, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Aston Martin has transferred turbo technology directly from its upcoming Valhalla supercar to extract more power while enhancing response. This allows the DBX S to rocket from 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds.

In the tradition of past ‘S’ models dating back to the 1953 DB3S race car, Aston Martin has shaved weight while adding power. A new optional carbon fiber roof slices 40 lbs from the top of the vehicle, lowering the center of gravity for sharper handling. Further weight savings come from available magnesium wheels—a first for an SUV—composite bodywork, and deleted roof rails.

Visually, the DBX S makes no subtlety about its performance. A new dark vaned grille, front splitter, and rear diffuser add aggression, while stacked quad exhausts confirm the sporting intent. Signature ‘S’ badging adorns the front fenders in enameled metal, echoing heritage models. Inside, sports seats with unique herringbone stitching and Alcantara trim reinforce the flagship status.

With a 193 mph top speed and even sharper responses than the standard DBX707, the new range-topper cements itself as one of the most dynamic and rewarding SUV on the market.

Order books are open now, with deliveries starting in Q4 2025.
