BMW has unveiled the 2026 model year updates for its iX electric SUV, including increased power, range and efficiency. The fully electric sports activity vehicle (SAV) receives design refinements inside and out as well as the latest technology advancements.

For 2026, the iX lineup expands to three variants—the new iX xDrive45, iX xDrive60 and performance iX M70. The xDrive45 produces 402 hp and boasts an estimated 312 miles of range. The xDrive60 generates 536 hp and delivers around 340 miles per charge. Topping the range is the high-performance iX M70 with 650 hp and an anticipated 302 miles of range.

The iX models incorporate new silicon carbide power electronics within the drivetrain inverters, enabling more efficient energy transfer and increased range. Additional battery advancements give the xDrive45 a 100.1 kWh battery and the xDrive60/M70 a 113.4 kWh battery. New adaptive recuperation capabilities further optimize driving efficiency.

Exterior updates include a redesigned kidney grille with illuminated accents on most models. The front and rear lighting graphics are revised, and the iX M70 receives exclusive styling touches. Five new metallic paint colors join the palette. Inside, an available M Sport package adds sport seating, an M steering wheel and interior trim for a more dynamic look.

BMW’s latest iDrive 8.5 system powers the digital experience, with new entertainment features like video streaming and in-car gaming. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, BMW Maps navigation and Digital Key Plus smartphone access are standard. New driver assistance capabilities include Highway Assistant semi-automated driving.

The 2026 BMW iX xDrive45 starts at $75,150 plus destination fees. The iX xDrive60 is priced from $88,500 and iX M70 from $111,500 when arriving at US dealerships in Q2 2025.
