Actor Bradley Cooper put his Venice retreat up for sale this spring. The two-bed, two-bath home is priced at $2.4 million.

According to public records, the nine-time Academy Award nominee has owned the home for nearly two decades. The structure dates to 1921, although the intervening decades have left it a little bit the stylistic portmanteau, with Cottage and Modern elements showing beneath a healthy veneer of vines; more recent renovations have brought abundant reclaimed timber into the mix — many ceilings are finished with it — as well as some striking bathroom tile.

The house is a single level, with its 1,571 sq. ft. distributed in a linear line that gives walking through the residence the quality of exploration. A cabana currently set up as a reading lounge is positioned at one end; other exterior amenities include a downright Edenic backyard living area that’s an unusually effective sanctuary; endlessly green and entirely secluded, it’s been allowed to grow just a touch wild.

Cooper stars in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Maria Bakalova and Sylvester Stallone, and Maestro, with Carey Mulligan, Matt Bomer, and Sarah Silverman. He wears the producer hat in the Joker: Folie à Deux, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
