Last year at about this time, KTM motorcycles announced its 1300 R limited-edition motorcycle, a model developed through collaboration with esteemed German tuning and design firm Brabus. Buyers had to be quick on the draw to secure on the 154 bikes slated for production; all order slots filled in less than two minutes, at $60K a whack.

The KTM-Brabus contingent is back at it for 2023, but this time the limited-production 1300 R model — titled as ‘Edition 23’ — will be built in a run of 145. Like the 1300 R, the Edition 23 is based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo. Details and materials concerned include CNC-machined triple clamp, front brake and clutch lever, Brabus slip-on two-pipe exhaust, semi-active suspension with Suspension Pro pack, a host of naked carbon fiber components, and a custom heated seat.

While the 1300 R was produced in an evenly divided split of red and black examples, the Edition 23 will be made in Stealth Gray or Superblack. A $2,500 down payment secures an example; the model is tagged at about $45K at the present rate of exchange.
