Hublot’s neon-flavored new Big Bang watch might be the ideal solution for the wallflower with aspirations toward visibility. The bright yellow case and band of the model — called the Tourbillon Automatic Yellow Neon Saxem — can be spotted from across a crowded room.

Saxem, for the uninitiated, is an acronym for ‘Sapphire Aluminum Oxide and Rare Earth Mineral’, a techy alloy which is most often found at work in the aerospace industry. It has a crystalline look, and in this case a lemon-yellow color that throws a pop into the material’s native translucence. It is finished with a refined treatment of sandblasting and polishing.

The 44mm watch features a new caliber with a micro-rotor and three sapphire bridges, as well as an automatic winding system with a 3-day power reserve. The band is rubber with a titanium clasp, and the timepiece is water resistant to 30 meters.

Only 50 examples will be made, and they will be priced at $211,000 a pop.
