After about seven months on the market, an investment build in Los Angeles has been acquired by film director Antoine Fuqua. According to Dirt, the Hidden Hills property changed hands for $10.8 million, about $200K under ask.

The home is a contemporary build that looks like a Modern Farmhouse without the rustic pretentions; its façade shows off the compartmented look of the style while the entry is clad in rough limestone and recessed, with a glassy double door installation that offers a little invitational transparency as a preamble to stepping inside. The stone pops up elsewhere on the property, including the covered outdoor living area, where it is used for a fireplace accent wall and support posts.

The house contains six bedrooms and five baths in its 9,162 sq. ft. of interiors. Glossy stone tile and plank floors, an amenities list that includes a spa room and an internally-lighted onyx bar, and retractable glass walls are part and parcel of the living style. The main living area is open-concept, beginning with the double-height foyer, where a graceful, curving staircase rises to a second-floor gallery.

The back of the property is a courtyard-like pool area, with a patio, the aforementioned covered living area, and a guest house all in attendance.

Fuqua’s upcoming projects include Apple TV+ action thriller Emancipation, with Will Smith.
