Last summer, musicians Alicia Keys and Swiss Beatz sold their Arizona retreat for $3.1 million, bringing to an end a protracted marketing process that began five years before. A few months later, the New Jersey property of the couple — once the home of fellow entertainment-business legend Eddie Murphy — popped back up on the open market priced at $10 million.

That home, a Georgian in Englewood which spans 25,000 sq. ft. and sits on a 5.42-acre lot, had been similarly long on the market, having first been listed by the pair in 2015 at about $15 million. It finally found a buyer this spring, when it closed for $6 million. That’s a tough resolution; Keys and Beatz paid Murphy $12 million for the place.

The house’s palatial amenities include a brick-lined indoor pool room with a barrel-shaped glass ceiling and a fireplace, an art deco-inspired master bath sheathed in marble with an alcove tub, a glass-enclosed dayroom, a movie theater, and a formal dining room with herringbone-pattern hardwood in an espresso-colored finish.
