The latest fetchingly angular Italian ride, dressed in a unique shade of green that might be called Electric Midori, is the ‘Tecnica’, the newest member of the famiglia Lamborghini Huracán. The variation on the theme shows model DNA in no uncertain terms, and underneath the hood it packs the newer 5.2L version of the Lamborghini V10 engine that graces many a four-wheeled raging bull. The seven-speed paddle-shift gearbox is also familiar to the lineup.

The variant gets the same juice out of the engine as the Huracán STO—631 in the Tecnica, 630 in the STO—and that’s not surprising, as it’s a track-inspired beast similar to that variant, with Lambo’s Performance Traction Control System onboard; like the EVO RWD, it is specially calibrated for the variant. The Tecnica’s back end is given emphasis by way of a dramatic fixed rear wing which improves downforce and cornering. The car can reach 62 MPH in 3.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 202.

But the Tecnica is also very much a consumer car, and its cabin is decked out with an entertainment and convenience suite that includes Alexa and Apple CarPlay, and given a plush treatment with Alcantara-sheathed seats.

Lamborghini hasn’t yet announced pricing for the Tecnica, but it does appear to be a regular production member of the Huracán family.
