Sons of Anarchy star Katey Sagal and her husband, series creator Kurt Sutter, tossed down nearly six million dollars this year to take ownership of a four-bedroom home in Los Angeles. The 4,723 sq. ft. house closed at $5.825 million in February, according to Dirt.

The house dates to 1923, and a glance at the façade reveals the architecture and details of an aspiring English country home; a turret, an arched and deeply recessed entrance, and multi-pane windows upper and lower express the exterior, with a stone front walk arcing through gardens as a preamble and a fairly large lawn bordered by mature trees in the foreground.

Interiors are clearly far brighter than they were for the home’s first owners; exposed ceiling timber, honey-toned plank hardwood, and white walls, ceilings and French doors are the rule of thumb for much of the interiors; the home’s library — now also purposed as a billiards room and lounge — diverges a bit with a lick of gray blue paint. Throughout the home, English Tudor arches pop up in doorways, and the living room fireplace sports the flourish as well.

There are quite a few surprises in the home, including a finished attic, harlequin tile in one of the baths, an arched glass door in the master bath that opens to a veranda, and a window/door in the stairwell. A fair slice of the .49-acre lot can be sighted from the dayroom, which occupies the first floor of the turret and is rimmed in glass doors. A courtyard patio completes a cursory look at an extraordinary little home on the Southern tip of Runyon Canyon Park.
