Academy Award-winning actress Michelle Pfeiffer and spouse David Kelley — also a star in the industry, on the production side of things — have sold two unusually fine residences in the Los Angeles protectorate of Pacific Palisades in the past six months or so.

The first, a 2019-built contemporary on the Riviera Country Club fairway, measures 10,329 sq. ft. and features Fleetwoods a-plenty, a screening room, and a zero edge pool; it closed at $25 million this past summer within weeks of listing. Pfeiffer and Kelley picked it up about a year and a half before for $22.5 million.

The second of the two Pac Pal properties handed off by the Pfeiffer/Kelley contingent to a new owner in recent memory is a fixer-upper that’s probably, at this point, not long for this world. Overtaken by a rather severe case of Faulknerian dilapidation, the low-slung 1951 ranch was, at the time of sale, more resplendent of memory than polish.

The couple purchased the place in the summer of 2018, paying $7.7 million for the land since the house was an afterthought, and looked the part. They put it up for sale in late 2019 with an $8.4 million asking price. They ultimately accepted an offer of $6.5 million to get out from under.

Pfeiffer and Kelly have been fairly active in residential real estate over the past few years, with Pacific Palisades their preferred stomping ground. Aside from the wheelings and dealings of late, the pair sold a 1949-built home in the area to billionaire neighbor Jim Crane for $9.1 million early in the winter of 2020. Farther north in Woodside, they sold a superb equestrian estate in 2019 for a stout $25 million.

Pfeiffer’s upcoming projects include Showtime series The First Lady, with Viola Davis, Gillian Anderson, Aaron Eckhart, Dakota Fanning, and Kiefer Sutherland. On the big screen, she stars in superhero film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, with Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas.

Kelley’s current projects include ABC’s Big Sky, with Katheryn Winnick and Ryan Phillippe, and Disney+’s Big Shot, with John Stamos. His upcoming television work includes Netflix’s Anatomy of a Scandal, with Sienna Miller, HBO Max’s Love and Death, with Elizabeth Olsen, and Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, with Neve Campbell.
