Canadian motorcycle builder Damon has a new bike that should stimulate fast-moving warm-weather dreams: the HyperFighter, the firm’s latest two-wheeled EV.

The HyperFighter picks up where the HyperSport electric leaves off. Does it deserve its aggressive moniker? We think so; as an eco-warrior-statesman and a thrill-provider, the HyperFighter is well named in any of its guises: the $35K Colossus, $25K Unlimited 20, or $19K Unlimited 15.

The HyperSport’s single-piece chassis is joined with the 200-horsepower powertrain Damon calls HyperDrive; the battery is part of the frame. The HyperDrive produces 200 for the Colossus and Unlimited 20, and 150 for the Unlimited 15; the lineup’s top speed is 170 MPH, with 146 miles of range available. Damon also states that the powertrain’s dearth of moving parts results in a zero-maintenance design.

One of the most appealing features of this hyper-engineered two-wheeler, however, is Co Pilot, a 360-degree, situationally aware system that alerts drivers about impending danger in multiple ways — most interestingly, via haptic feedback — and also learns driver habits, patterns and quirks by way of a cloud-connected AI engine.
