Annapurna Pictures founder and big kahuna Megan Ellison apparently has just as acute an eye for unusually fine homes as she has for unusually fine flicks.
Two of Ellison’s Los Angeles-area residences garnered press coverage in the last year, both in Beverly Hills. The first is a green-minded modern poem of a house that she took off the hands of Academy Award-winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminski for $15.5 million in early 2017. The second is a cerebral 1957-built modern that she put up for sale late last summer with a $12.5 million asking price.
That house sold for $11.21 million last month. It’s an engaging house. Slatted accents pop up throughout the house, contrasting with the gracefully curving line that defines the glassy living room. The thoroughly escapist outdoor living area includes a large poolside patio.
Ellison’s other Los Angeles residential real estate adventures include the Spanish-style that she sold for $8.3 million in the summer of 2020.
