In a nod to the artistic contributions of the East, Bentley released a special production run Bentayga Speed this fall that takes inspiration and offers a laurel to the legendary Russian Ballet. The six examples will all be individuals—natch, as each example will honor a certain difficult dance move perfected by the Ballet.
An interesting conceit; similar efforts from Bentley of the recent past include Bentayga models inspired by falconry and other pursuits. All are, of course, designed to hit hard in a certain market, tickling the national pride and cultural history of a country or region…or simply calling up those delirious and seemingly indestructible golden age images of British aristocractic leisure, like the fly fishing-inspired Bentayga.
This Bentayga seems less noblesse oblige and more noble, but the flash is everywhere. The two-tone exterior of the example used for the photo shoot sports a silver-and-plum color scheme, with purple trim and koa accents inside. It’s tricked out, absolutely. The ballet theme pops up gracefully in the marquetry, though, and the doorsills which sport the name of the dance move specific to the example.
The engine remains the same 6.0L W12 Bentley beast, capable of delivering 626 HP and 664 lb-ft of torque in the Bentayga Speed variant.
