Vice President Kamala Harris Completes Sale of DC Condo for $1.9M

The second of the two condos Kamala Harris has had up for sale this year—one on the West Coast, one on the East—went to its new owner recently. The unit in Washington, D.C., hit the open market this spring with an asking price of $1.995 million, and changed hands recently for $1.9 million.

Harris’ San Francisco pied-a-terre sold just a few months before. That condo, a modest one-bedroom duplex on the upper floor of a SoMa district mid-rise, hit the market at $800K and sold for about $60K over ask in February.

The D.C. pied-a-terre is somewhat larger; it contains two bedrooms in its 1,731 sq. ft. of living space. Its sustainable material flash—teak shower floors, triple glazed windows, and oak plank—echo the LEED-certified building’s spirit, of course.

The building’s visually arresting exterior is matched by its green soul, which is given acute expression in the 50-foot landscaped wall in its lobby. Its amenities include a 25-meter heated pool, the centerpiece of its rooftop recreation area.
