LG’s newest trophy TV is so exquisite it comes with an accessory that’s never accompanied a screen purchase before: an ATA flight case.
The model is called the Direct View LED Home Cinema, and it can be ordered with resolution of up to 8K and screen sizes up to 325 inches. LG breaks down the resolution options in 2K Full HD, Dual 2K Ultra Stretch, 4K Ultra HD, Dual 4K Ultra Stretch, and 8K Ultra HD variations. The Ultra Stretch versions notably offer a 32:9 aspect ratio, making them ideal for multiple inputs.
Aside from the ATA flight case, LG includes a special LG Controller with WebOS unit, which opens up the feature set and simplifies control of the DVLED Home Cinema television. Each set also comes with a five-year ExtendedCare Warranty, a three-year TotalCare Health Check and a three-year ConnectedCare subscription.
Pricing for LG’s Direct View LED Home Cinema television tops out at $1.7 million—but that’s for the biggest 8K set available: 325 inches. The 108-inch 2K unit can be had for a paltry $70K.
