Billionaire and NBA legend Michael Jordan took a pricey short-term seagoing rental to rove the Adriatic Sea this summer. The 2020-built yacht came with a weekly price tag of €1 million—about $1.2 million at current exchange rates. According to The Daily Mail, Jordan and his wife, Yvette Prieto, toured the ancient city of Split, Croatia while on shore leave.
The massive vessel was built by Golden Yachts, a firm headquartered in Greece. She was named O’Pari, and measures in at an imposing 312 feet.
O’Pari accommodates 12 guests across 14 cabins; she contains a single, four twins, six doubles, a a pair of VIP staterooms, and a master. Her interiors are the work of Studio Vafiadis, and feature glossy hardwood, LED strip lighting atmospherics, and a beige tonal scheme. The craft’s amenities include a sundeck, outdoor and indoor bars, and a beach club.
O’Pari is outfitted with at anchor stabilizers, a helipad, and underwater lights. Her top speed is18 knots, and she cruises at 16. She can travel 8,600 nautical miles with her tanks full.
In the summer season, O’Pari cruises the Mediterranean, with potential stops in Greece, Italy, Montenegro, and Turkey, as well as Croatia.
Jordan’s net worth is $1.6 billion, according to Forbes.
