Country music star Kenny Chesney put his Nashville-area estate up for sale this summer. The massive European-inflected mansion sits on 56.01 acres, and is priced at a dollar under $14 million.

The property is located in Franklin, the upscale Music City suburb where Alan Jackson, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, and Miley Cyrus have owned homes. Alan Jackson’s estate appeared on the open market late last year with a $23 million asking price.

Chesney’s property is anchored by a stone-clad mansion that measures 12,599 sq. ft. The gated property begins with a long drive that concludes with a porte-cochere and circular motor court. The main entrance is a protracted affair, with an initial arched portal followed by a courtyard, and the house proper opening onto a groin-vaulted colonnade hall and double-height great room with a massive fireplace and exposed ceiling trussing.

Dark honey-toned plank hardwood runs throughout much of the common area, with colonial chandeliers and ceiling beams and joists adding a rustic feel to the living style. Amenities in the lavish pad include a home theater, a billiards room, a gym and a master suite with a sitting room. A pool and loggia overlook the back yard, which is bordered by forest.

Chesney’s list of number one albums on the Top Country Albums chart and Billboard 200 chart is too long to count off. His most recent studio release is last year’s Here and Now; it reached the top of both aforementioned charts. Chesney will be embarking on the Here and Now Tour next year in support of his latest album; his tours frequently gross around $100 million.
