Billionaire Anthony Hsieh Buys Las Vegas Trophy for Record $25M

loanDepot founder Anthony Hsieh is the new owner of a flashy Las Vegas mansion. The 15,000 sq. ft. property features a guest house, a DJ booth, panoramic city views, and parking for up to 11 cars. Hsieh paid a record $25 million for the home, which is a genuine dazzler. Setting new records seems to be his thing; his real estate acquisitions include a tasteful Newport Beach home he paid a record $61 million for last year.

The breadth of amenities featured on the Vegas estate makes for a lengthy litany. Apart from more esoteric, entertainment-oriented touches like the aforementioned DJ booth, the property also works in a covered outdoor living area with a pair of salt water infinity pools, a top deck ‘sky lounge’, an elevator, a 13.5-foot media wall, automated pocketing glass—with corner installations—and seven fire features.

There are four bedrooms and nine baths on the property. The master suite features a spa bath and his and hers closets, and is positioned for illuminating night city views. In the shared living spaces, a breezy, indoor-outdoor design culminates in the living room, which is enhanced by ‘breezeways’ and optional glass.

While the labyrinthine interconnection of the various areas of the home is striking, the manner in which the living areas incorporate water is perhaps the most appealing feature of this desert retreat. Indoor/outdoor landscaping places an atmospherically lit meditation pool between figured block walls and bordered with succulent plantings, and a river stone floor foundation with plantings popping up frequently throughout the property.

Hsieh’s net worth is around $2 billion.
