Joe Pesci Asking $6.5M for Waterfront Home in New Jersey

The New Jersey waterfront residence of actor Joe Pesci made a return to the market this month. Pesci initially listed the modern-style in the fall of 2019, asking $6.5 million; it returned in November of the following year at $6.5 million. The reappearance on the open market finds it priced at…$6.5 million. Hmmm…tough guy, eh?

The property is located in the township of Lavallette, itself poised on a prime middle section of the Barnegat Peninsula on the southern end of the state. The 7,219 sq. ft. home features lavish modern exterior architecture that riffs on Streamline Moderne frequently and is capped by an extravagant double-sided, barrel roof light that brightens the stairwell. In back, the home is especially geared toward warmer weather, with wraparound terraces and balconies following the curves of the second floor.

Inside the seven-bedroom home, the shared living spaces feature a spiral staircase as a centerpiece—a potent symbol of transition and possibility, it puts the final touch on interiors that are bright, open and liberating. The glitzier elements culminate in the curving, glassy dining room’s brass ceiling fixture. Wow.

Amenities in this home include an elevator, an office and a dock long enough to accommodate larger vessels.

It reportedly took a lot of convincing to get Pesci to accept a role in Martin Scorsese’s critically acclaimed The Irishman. The film also starred Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Ray Romano, and Anna Paquin.
