Zack Greinke’s Craftsman-style property in Los Angeles departed the open market recently. The MLB player accepted a $4.75 million offer for it. The closing brought to a conclusion a process that began in the winter of 2018, when the former Dodgers pitcher initially listed the home with a $7.55 million asking price.

The little estate in Studio City makes a compelling argument for the style. Its façade features naturalistic tone and materials—with wood cladding, mud-grey trim, and tapered stone posts—as well as a low-pitched roof with extended eaves and decorative windows.

Inside, symmetrical design flourishes add linearity and clarity to the living style, beginning with the potently expressed center staircase in the foyer; floors are stone tile or wood, with hardwood used for doors, windows and ceiling decoration. Guest accommodations bring the total living area to 8,415 sq. ft., with six bedrooms and nine baths in all.

The lot measures in at 1.06 acres, enough space to landscape a secretive outdoor atmosphere with gardens, a freeform pool, and a courtyard with a stacked stone fireplace and grill.
