HGTV’s Jasmine Roth Selling Huntington Beach Home for $2.2M

Hidden Potential host Jasmine Roth listed this home in Huntington Beach, California, recently with an asking price of $2.2 million. The house wasn’t destined to linger on the market for very long, though; hardly had it made its appearance when an acceptable offer arrived, and the home is now listed in contingent status.

According to public records, Roth picked up the place in the spring of 2010. A personal residence, then, and one that therefore received the considerable and thoughtful attention of its owner regarding renovations; hominess and refinement are the elements at work, and the results are as literate as they are comfortingly familiar. A dash of the unexpected adds a little surprise to the mix, though. The front door by itself is a good example of the whole: Dutch, with a barn-door handle and a coat of canary yellow paint.

The conspicuously substantial enters the picture as the home progresses, most forcefully in the kitchen: Viking stainless, which as always looks as though it could suffer a bomb blast and soldier on as if nothing had happened, and a butcher-block island cap—wide-plank hardwood, and a hard-wearing staircase. A marble fireplace surround brings a little glamour to the picture, and retractable glass orients the house toward contemporary SoCal tastes for indoor/outdoor.

The master suite takes full advantage of the home’s one rounded corner, and features a plank ceiling, a fireplace with a simple neoclassical mantel, and a panoramic wall photo of the Pier. Its balcony overlooks the outdoor living area, which features a stacked-stone grill station as a centerpiece of a cozy living and dining area.
