Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom picked up a new property this fall. This time around, the couple was house-hunting in Montecito, and settled on this Spanish-style estate that was built in the mid-1930s. A $14.2 million offer did the trick; the property had been listed at $16.25 million prior to the sale.
The estate’s grounds extend to just under nine acres, and incorporates four parcels. Views from the property are superb, with ocean islands and mountains framing the living style.
The estate begins with a long driveway flanked by mature trees, which culminates with a grand motor court with a fountain centerpiece. The façade of the stucco house is marvelously eccentric, with a variety of window shapes, French doors and a Juliet balcony, exposed timber, and a shallow recessed turret entrance.
Inside the home a classically airy living style prevails, with sets of French doors, exposed timber, stenciled built-ins, and plank hardwood. The kitchen is marvelously expressive, with parquet oak floors, antiqued cabinetry, a walnut-toned center island, and pattern wall covering and tile backsplashes.
Outside, a broad terrace overlooks the forested Montecito landscape and ocean. A pool and arcade pool house, gardens, stucco walls, lawns, a guest house and a covered patio complete this charming and comprehensive estate.
Perry’s albums have topped the Billboard 200 three times. Her latest, Smile, was released in August.
Bloom stars in Amazon Prime Video’s Carnival Row alongside Cara Delevingne.
