Rock-and-roller Nikki Sixx hefted his Los Angeles-area mansion onto the market this fall with a $5.699 million asking price. Mr. Sixx has owned the home for about five years, according to public records.

The house’s footprint is splayed out in a winged design. It was constructed in the mid-1990s, and sports contemporary Mediterranean architecture. There are five bedrooms and ten baths in its 10,300 sq. ft. Its exterior features include a grand entrance with a solarium-like design that opens to a soaring, brightly-lit foyer. The architecture is quite lavish, and water features, column supports, and a tile roof heighten the effect.

The interiors of the home are warm, with broad Italianate inspiration that includes keystone arches, Italian plaster-effect walls, wainscoting, and inlaid stone tile floors. The dining room’s soft yellow walls and red ceiling are details particularly representative of the design sensibility.

Amenities in this house include a very large home theater with a music studio and illuminated risers, a billiards room, and an office, and a spa in the master suite. Outside, a pool with water jets, stone balustrades, wrought iron fencing, and plentiful covered living and lounging space give the property an expansive estate feel.

Sixx is Mötley Crüe’s bassist and primary songwriter. He formed side band Sixx:A.M. in 2006; they’ve released five studio albums.
