Pierce Brosnan and wife Keely Shaye Smith listed their unusually expansive beachfront property in Malibu this fall. The famous, custom-built mansion on Broad Beach hit the open market with a $100 million thud.

Brosnan and Smith purchased the property about two decades ago. They eventually razed the existing structure and designed the 13,000 sq. ft. home from the ground up. The residence’s architecture and living style stacks varied Asian influences on a contemporary foundation; the common areas are aligned beautifully with the landscape, and are uncommonly open and airy. There’s a great deal of teak in the build.

The lot is unusually large for this corner of Cali, and measures in at over an acre. That’s enough room for a tropical garden, a guest house, and 117’ of frontage with a sandy expanse divided into a pair of private beaches, an ocean overlook, an outdoor dining area, and a large patio with a fire lounge.

Aside from the detached guest house, amenities on the property include a steam room, a Japanese-inspired spa, a master suite with a pair of fireplaces, a theater, a wet bar, a music room, and a saltwater pool with a cabana.

There are five bedrooms and 14 bathrooms in all.

In 2011, Brosnan shucked another Malibu charmer, selling the home for $2.6 million. His upcoming films include Cinderella, with Missy Elliott, James Corden, and Minnie Driver; The Misfits, with Nick Cannon; False Positive, with Justin Theroux and Sophia Bush; The King’s Daughter, with Kaya Scodelario.
