Expecting a Turbulent Commute? Consider the Mercedes-AMG G63 VIP Limo Armored by Inkas

We’ve covered a few vehicles modified by security firm Inkas in the past. Last fall, we had a look at the Sentry Civilian, a tank-like conveyance that uses a Ford F-550 as a foundation; the armored truck can withstand protracted assaults from machine-gun fire, and it comes with an interior treatment which can only be described as deluxe.

Other armored vehicles in Inkas’ portfolio include a rough-and-ready version of the Bentley Bentayga—and an armored Mercedes-AMG G63. A new version using the G63 as a build foundation brings us to the most recent Inkas reveal: an armored version of the G63 in limousine form which is called the VIP Limo.

An earlier version of the same model came out in 2018. Fundamentally, the design is the same: a 60-inch boost to the wheelbase, flat-run tires, and BR6 protection, which can withstand protracted assault with AK-47 rounds.

The 2020 version protects against a double grenade blast detonated under the limo, and that may represent a greater level of protection over the 2018 version. Other upgrades include a revised chassis design that gives the armored limo the performance profile of a factory G63, air filtration, passenger cabin control center, and an off-road package.

Inside the G63, the plush, luxurious layout courtesy of Inkas includes leather and Alcantara, an up-to-date cutting-edge large-screen television that can be squirreled away into the console, and captain’s chairs.

The price is one million euros.
