Last spring, newly-minted Colt—Indianapolis variety—Philip Rivers listed his home in San Diego for $4.2 million. Rivers owned the property for over a decade, having purchased it in 2009 when he still played for the Chargers. This summer it found a new owner, though, who was willing to fork over $3.7 million for it.

The Spanish-style home is located in the gated Santaluz community. It sits on over an acre; the grounds feature a putting green and a saltwater swimming pool. Its interiors are distinguished by vaulted exposed ceilings, arched doorways, and antiqued plank hardwood and stone tile floors.

The gems of the 6,844 square-footer are the master suite and the courtyard outdoor living area. Covered patios, a large fireplace, and a BBQ station complete the California lifestyle potential of this luxurious home, while offering views of the Santaluz Golf Course fairway.

Rivers signed a one-year, $25 million contract with the Colts earlier this year.
