This glistening bit of high-carat flash comes by way of Swiss firm Jacob & Co. The watchmaker calls the piece the Ashoka, the next in the Billionaire series of timepieces. All that glitters in it is not gold, though; it’s 189 carats’ worth of Ashoka diamonds.
Still, it’ll cost you $7 million to strap this singular watch onto your wrist, which may mean that you’ll have to be the equivalent of the diamonds’ namesake—a third-century Indian king—in order to afford it.
Aside from the diamonds, this watch features Jacob & Co.’s JCAM09 movement, a 167-element, 19-jewel tourbillon. And, there is a bit of gold in there, of course—white gold, as it happens, to not disturb the crystalline appearance with additional color tones—as well as sapphire crystal.
The previous Billionaire entry registered at a much higher valuation of $18 million. It was snapped up by none other than Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr.
