To benefit the charity Save the Children, Ferrari will soon auction an example of the new Roma model.
We covered the Roma in a short piece last year; the model, as a symbol of Rome then and Rome now, neatly conflates Ferrari history of the 1960s golden age with contemporary design elements. It packs a 3.9L V8 that can deliver up to 612 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque, and hit 60 from a standstill in 3.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of around 200 MPH.
An impressive model, then, and one that Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and his wife, supermodel Behati Prinsloo, were happy to climb aboard as they, too, support the Save the Children foundation. The duo, along with Ferrari North America president Matteo Torre, took part in an online presentation to give the charity and the auction a little exposure, and get the word out.
Save the Children is currently engaged in solutions for the ‘education lag’ that is developing in America in the wake of the COVID-19 disaster. Online learning is of course the ticket, and the charity is funding numerous programs that bring effective learning resources to kids around the country.
For those interested in the Roma, the model is currently in production.
