Just about a year ago on the dot, tennis champion Rafael Nadal commissioned a new yacht from one of the preeminent European yards. At the time, Nadal had listed his 76’ MCY motoryacht called Beethoven for sale for $3 million, at then-current exchange rates. The sale was to make way for the new craft—a Sunreef 80 power cat—which was, in turn, delivered to Nadal this month.
The sleek catamaran features a flybridge design with enough space for outdoor dining, a full-beam bow terrace. It also boasts abundant garage storage for tenders and water toys, including a jet ski. A spa with a water feature and wet bar are other amenities of the motoryacht.
Design features of the yacht include teak decking, and a contemporary style with LED backlighting for atmospherics. The yacht sleeps 12, with accommodations including a bow master suite for abundant natural light; the space features a work space/office, a dressing room, and a bath with a walk-in shower.
Nadal has named his new yacht Great White. His motor yacht Beethoven remains for sale, and is currently priced at 2.2 million EUR; the MCY-built craft sleeps eight, and also features a flybridge design.
