Walt Disney’s ‘Technicolor Dream House’ in Palm Springs has come up for sale a couple of times since 2017. Its now-previous owner shelled out $865K for it in June of that year, and turned around and listed it in April of this year for $1.1 million.
The property sold this month; its most recent sojourn on the market was about six weeks, give or take, a long way from the six months it spent on the market the last time it went up for sale. The selling price this time around? The asking price.
The ranch-style four-and-four has retained much of its Disney-oriented feel and décor over the years, and its midcentury style as well. Its interiors feature bright blasts of color that help give the living style a whimsical feel. Its nearly 2,500 square feet of indoor living space features an open-concept living area with a wet bar, a kitchen with a breakfast bar, and tile floors.
Outside, a kidney pool, a spa, a patio, and a stretch of lawn fill out the property. Views of the nearby mountains are excellent.
The home remained in the Disney family until 2015.
