The Bel-Air estate where Ed McMahon spent many years has hit the market once again. The overgrown mid-1930’s Tudor-style came up for sale back in 2018, when it asked $12.5 million; its most recent price chop brings its ask down to $10.5 million.

The 6,741 square-footer contains six bedrooms and nine baths. Its exterior is eccentrically diverse and asymmetrical, with plentiful partially exposed timber and a variety of window shapes, with a few mullions. The interiors feature glossy cherry-finished floors, plank oak floors, and an understated tonal scheme.

The lot extends to half an acre, and the exterior living area gets high marks, with terraces, patios, a pool, and a custom water fountain encouraging languid outdoor afternoons, and a border of mature trees and shrubs for privacy.

McMahon was Johnny Carson’s sidekick on The Tonight Show from 1962 to 1992.
