‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Kaley Cuoco Sells California Manse at a Loss

‘Big Bang Theory’ alum Kaley Cuoco listed this home in Tarzana about one year ago. The actress was looking for $6.9 million for the property initially; she paid $5.5 million for it in the middle of the last decade when she bought it from Khloe Kardashian. By late last summer, the ask had dropped an incredible $2 million. When it sold late last month, it fetched less than four million dollars.

An exterior impression of the 8,000 square-foot house is of a fairly recent contemporary Mediterranean-style. Once the simple, steel-framed double front doors open to the foyer, though, it quickly establishes itself as a glam palace, as neoclassical design elements and marble floors and staircase give way to abstract pattern wall covering and a pendant light fixture that looks dazzling, and possibly dangerous.

The rest of the home develops the theme with increasing intensity, with the shimmering step-down living room, with its hanging chair and modernist fireplace surround, a prologue to the kitchen and dayroom, where the design sense reaches a fever pitch. The bedrooms, too, have their share of style overload; the master sports a private terrace, and a set of French doors to access it, along with a large walk-in closet, dressing room, and a bath with a step-up soaking tub.

Outside, things calm down a bit. A Riviera mood predominates, with patios, a pool and spa, a covered dining area, and a summer kitchen and bar.
