Elijah Wood Sells Venice Property for $1.7M

Last October, Elijah Wood—no stranger to real estate columns—listed an unusually affecting Venice residential property for sale for $2 million. Comprised of two original residences and their lots, the spot made an attractive potential buy for the owner desiring a substantial rental income.

The older of the cottages was built in 1921. It’s a charming Craftsman style home which, at the time of the listing, was dressed in a coat of soft gray. Its tropical landscaping, lantern sconces, and period style gives it an intensely romantic atmosphere, and its interiors are bohemian and incredibly inviting.

The second home is a later build, and a smaller home overall. The interiors are understated, and utilitarian, with dark plank hardwood floors, a vaulted ceiling, and a small kitchen and bedroom. Casement windows look out onto the property, which features gardens, slate paths, and a deck.
