Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari Asking $5.8M for 20K-SqFt Mega-Mansion in Nashville After Price Cut

Hoping for a sale in early autumn, Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari dropped the price on their Nashville estate this month.

The duo had initially listed the 20,000 square-footer in the spring of last year, asking $7.9 million—after moving into a new home in the Nashville area with a smaller footprint, but more acreage. The cut is the latest in a string of adjustments, and it has brought the listing price down to $5.75 million, which is pretty close to the knuckle: the former Chicago Bears player and ‘The Hills’ star paid $5.3 million for the place in 2013.

The home’s architecture is a mishmash of country house and manor design elements, with a turret, a tile roof, an eyebrow dormer, and a second-floor balcony helping define the stucco, stone and timber façade.

The home’s interiors are rustic and urbane. Exposed timber, tile, plank hardwood, and extensive built-ins meet with moody grays, with country house flourishes including a tile backsplash over the kitchen stove. Amenities include a stone-heavy entertainment room with a wet bar, a library, and an exterior, indoor/outdoor living area clad in stone.

The 8.5-acre hillside lot is pleasantly bucolic, and the landscaping includes both tiered plantings and wild forest. Cutler and Cavallari’s new estate measures in at nearly fifty acres, when all is said and done, and came equestrian-ready.
