GT Dave, the man who turned kombucha into a potful of cash, added to his 90210 residential investment portfolio this summer with this modern-style home located in Trousdale Estates. The billionaire beverage mogul paid $5.7 million for the property, according to public records.

The 1960-built house is set on a promontory lot that affords it extraordinary panoramic views of downtown, the ocean, and the hills. It’s a 3,450 square-foot midcentury modern, with an exterior dressed in soft beige, and dark brown trim giving it a somewhat moody countenance, and clinging ivy providing a sense of history.

The home’s shared living spaces are open and very warm. The original narrow-plank has been refinished dark, while off-white walls, vaulted ceilings, and skylights brighten and extend.

The kitchen is modest but carefully composed, with simple, maple-toned cabinetry, green granite, and brushed stainless; nothing daring, but very well executed. The living room features a very substantial limestone fireplace with an extended raised hearth step. Sliding glass opens onto the property exterior.

The home features four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The master is cozy but not claustrophobic, and the suite packs in an adequate walk-in closet and a bath accented with black granite and a block glass panel.

The house is designed around the pool and patio, where a spa and grill station make best use of the views.
