Lexus recently unveiled its 2020 LC 500 Inspiration Series vehicle.

Unlike last year’s bright yellow Inspiration Series car, the most recent design is far more subtle, showing off the automaker’s ability to produce refined bodywork and classic style. In fact, the much-maligned Lexus grille may finally be placed within a design context it can actually enhance.

The Nori Green Pearl paint shows off dimension and shine from every angle. The color is inspired by the edible seaweed nori, a staple of the Japanese kitchen table, and it also works beautifully.

The vehicle’s oceanic visual homage is isolated to the exterior, though. The two-tone interior provides classic, refined elegance. A mixture of tan and amber combines to form a tasteful aesthetic, enhanced by Alcantara trim and semi-aniline 10-way adjustable seats.

The new LC 500 Inspiration Series car boasts the same naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine found in the standard LC 500. It pumps out 471 horsepower.

Lexus’ 2020 LC 500 will be limited to just 100 examples for U.S. customers.
