Rafael Nadal has put his motoryacht up for sale. The 76’ craft was christened Beethoven by the 16-time Grand Slam singles champion, and is priced at €2.6 million.
This blue-hulled streamlined motoryacht has been a luxurious haven from the pressures of professional competitive athletics for the tennis legend; an escape and a sanctuary. It was built by Monte Carlo Yachts—located in Trieste, Italy—and delivered to Nadal in 2016.
Her interiors are very open and fairly casual. She sleeps eight in four staterooms; the master suite is full-beam, and the master and VIP feature an array of porthole and round accent windows. Her outdoor living space includes a well-proportioned flybridge with a carbon fiber top and sunroof. Amenities include a home cinema.
The design was completed by famed firm Nuvolari Lenard, which is based in Venice. Their other designs include the Alfa Nero, a 267’ megayacht with a massive beach club, and an onboard infinity pool with a glass side and an adjustable bottom that converts it into a dance floor or, as needed, a helipad.
Beethoven is a fast yacht. She can reach a top speed of 31 knots and cruises at a comfortable 26. Because of Nadal’s busy schedule, however, Beethoven hasn’t spent much time underway. Her two MAN diesels, which pump out 1,400 HP each, have low hours.
Nadal’s listing is a rare opportunity to own a pedigreed and well-optioned yacht. This one probably won’t be on the market for long.
